After a 20-year career in the entertainment industry, Ranielle began working with dogs professionally in 2019. Though her journey to working with dogs began when she adopted Calamity Jane in 2013, her journey to becoming a trainer began when she brought home Ruffian in 2020.
Ranielle is committed to positive reinforcement and force/fear-free training techniques. Clicker training opens up a clear line of communication between human and dog, and better communication leads to better understanding. It’s Ranielle’s hope to help pet owners and their pets live their best possible lives together.

Director of Goodwill
Calamity Jane was adopted on Valentine’s Day 2013, cementing her place as Ranielle’s heart dog. It was clear early on that Calamity had that something special when it came to her ability to connect to people, and her ability to give of herself has been something truly remarkable.
Calamity became a blood donor at DoveLewis in 2014, retiring in 2021 after over 30 donations.
Together, Calamity and Ranielle became a Pet Partners therapy team in 2015. They’ve spent the intervening years visiting libraries, elementary schools, high schools, colleges, hospitals, and senior care homes. Calamity retired from therapy work in the spring of 2023.
Calamity has served as a neutral dog during Canine Good Citizen evaluations and during Ranielle’s time at a doggy day care Calamity’s favorite thing was to help puppies learn proper play.

Agent of Chaos
Ruffian was adopted from the Humane Society for Southwest Washington in July 2020. As a 7-month-old “pandemic puppy”, Ruffian struggled to deal with the wide world, prompting Ranielle to research a wide array of training to find the best way to open up a line of communication.
Accepting that life with Ruffian would look a lot different than life with Calamity Jane—even while living life with the two of them together—has been the driving force behind Paws & Pawsibility Dog Training.
Ranielle has sought out the help of the incredible team at Animal Behavior Clinic in Portland, OR to address Ruffian’s fear and anxiety through a mixture of cooperative care training and pharmaceutical relief.

“Little Man”
Adopted from the Humane Society for SW Washington in 2016. Raised by Calamity Jane, he’s pretty much convinced he’s a dog. Tolerant of his sister Ruffian and a very good big brother to Chance and Lucky.
-
“Little Helper”
Adopted from West Columbia Gorge Humane Society in 2020. Chance likes to help make the bed and provides lumbar support to Ranielle when she’s working on her computer.
-
“Toothless”
Adopted from West Columbia Gorge Humane Society in 2020. Lucky is shy and standoffish but loves his brothers. After a stomatitis diagnosis in 2022 resulting in a full mouth extraction, he’s beginning to come out of his shell.
